How to find us
    Finding us is quite easy. Firstly, leave the M6 at Junction 36 and head towards Kendal. From here, there are two main alternatives. You can take the popular, but sometimes very busy, scenic route via  Windermere and Ambleside, with views of Lake Windermere and the Langdale Pikes. Or, you can take the quicker "south" route which is less busy.
  This latter route does, however, bring you up the west side of Coniston Water with some spectacular views on the way of both the lake and Coniston Old Man and it's surrounding fells:
From Ambleside:
 

From the M6, follow routes to Ambleside, then the A593 to Coniston. Come into the village and bear left around the Yewdale Hotel. Do not go over the main bridge. Pass the Crown Hotel on your left hand side and travel out of the village towards Hawkshead, passing over a small hump-back bridge on your way. 400 yards from this bridge, the small hamlet of Waterhead appears. Look out for our sign, 50 yards from the Waterhead Hotel. We are on your left hand side.
From Greenodd:
  From the M6, follow routes to Barrow In Furness. At Greenodd, turn off the A590 and head for Coniston with another turning at Lowick. When entering the village, you will pass a filling station on your right hand side. Bear right onto the Hawkshead road as you cross the main bridge (head towards the Crown Hotel). Leave the village on the Hawkshead road crossing a small hump-back bridge. 400 yards from this bridge, the small hamlet of Waterhead appears. Look out for our sign, 50 yards from the Waterhead Hotel. We are on your left hand side.
